Dr. Maged Hanna, holds 20 years of Experience in leading and managing organizations, and train individuals in different topics and especially leadership. He is currently the Managing Director & CEO of SELEM DMCC, which stands for Smart Engineering Leadership & Excellence in Management. A Pioneer Firm Providing Management Consultancy Services, Training Courses, Testing, and Conference Organization. Prior to assuming this leadership opportunity, Dr. Maged served as the General Manager of the Society of Engineers – UAE where he conducted pioneering work to develop and expand Society membership, professional activities, conferences, training and professional testing. With responsibility for the strategic development of the Society, to achieve and exceed ambitious professional goals. He has more than 100 initiatives towards enhancing organizational effectiveness in the Society as well as raising performance of organization and overall results. He has contributed numerous articles. Dr. Maged has been a jury member for competitions sponsored by international organizations and has participated in associated review of journals and other publications. He is also an active and guiding member of several steering committees including serving as a committee member for Bureau VERITAS and previous Executive Council member in the international Tunnelling Association (ITA), He held various seminars, exhibitions and conferences dedicated to all engineers working in the UAE and internationally for their professional growth and development.

Dr. Alaa holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in US and B.S. in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University (Distinction with Honors) in Egypt. Dr. Alaa Ashmawy joined AUD in 2006 as Dean of Engineering. Prior to his appointment at AUD, he had been a tenured Associate Professor at the University of South Florida in Tampa. His expertise is in geotechnical Engineering, with interests in numerical modeling of foundations and earth structures, environmental geotechnics, and soil dynamics & earthquake Engineering. Dr. Ashmawy's experience includes Engineering consulting for a number of companies in the US, and a visiting professorship at the Universidád de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. BOB STEVENS, Ph.D., P.E., AICP, F.ASCE, is UEF President, EVP Arcadis, ASCE President-Emeritus, and member ASCE Society Awards Committee, EWB-USA BOD, ARTBA BOD & Planning & Design Division BOD, and UEF BOD. He was ASCE 2015 President and BOD member 2013-16, member of EWB-USA's BOD 2010-13, Chair ASCE Committee on Technical Advancement, Chair ASCE T&DI Administrative Committee, and 2009-12 Technical Region Director on ASCE BOD. Bob’s 50-year engineering career includes transportation, water and wastewater projects. He worked on environmental assessments, planning, design and construction management for road, bridge, rail, port, transit projects and dams. He managed the first design/build/supply transit project in North America at the Toronto Zoo. His career includes jobs in the public and private sectors. Besides living and working in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, California, Colorado and Texas, he worked on projects in 21 countries including 2 that he lived in (Canada and Taiwan) and 19 he did projects for including Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Mexico, Mozambique, Nepal, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, and 7 other African countries. He taught undergraduate and graduate transportation courses at The University of Akron, Cleveland State and The University of Michigan. Bob was a founding governor and officer ASCE’s Transportation & Development Institute. He was a member of a number of ASCE committees including Audit Committee, Program Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Committee on Professional Practice, Journal of Management in Engineering Editorial Board, Task Committee on Branding, and Paraprofessional Task Committee. He is a registered PE in 7 states--California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas. Since retiring from full-time work as Transportation Practice Director at Arcadis in Denver in August 2007, he moved to Texas to be close to his grandson, Robbie, where he continues working part time for Arcadis in Fort Worth.

He graduated from the University of Baghdad – College of Engineering in 1978 with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
